Headed up to Chiang Mai

Yesterday we made the 2.5 hour drive to Chiang Mai from Phrae.  Before heading out, we had to say good bye to all of my family members who presented us with all sorts of gifts to take back to the US.

To break up the trip a bit, we did stop at a few places on the way up, most notably the first elephant hospital in the world, as well as a coffee shop and a quick ride on a horse carriage around Lampang.
